The US and its allies use the International Criminal Court to impose their own will on other countries, a military analyst has told RT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EU\u2019s disregard for the International Criminal Court (ICC) rulings against Israel shows that it is a \u201cfake justice\u201d<\/em> institution, Drago Bosnic, a military expert and a contributor to the Bangladeshi Blitz weekly, has told RT.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In November 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on the charges of committing war crimes in Gaza. Israel has rejected the allegations as baseless and \u201cabsurd.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite an outstanding warrant, Netanyahu is set to visit Hungary this week, whose leader, Prime Minister Viktor Orban, has promised not to enforce the ICC\u2019s decision. Poland previously also said that it would not arrest Netanyahu. The EU\u2019s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, who refused to urge the member states to comply with the warrant, made a high-profile trip to Israel last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking to RT, Bosnic argued that Western countries wield the ICC as a political tool against the nations they do not like. \u201cWe see double standards on virtually every step of the way of the functioning of the so-called ICC,\u201d<\/em> he said. \u201cThere is just no way that any Western country would arrest\u201d<\/em> Netanyahu, a close ally of the US, he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no accountability if you are an ally of NATO or the US. There is simply no reason for you to worry about those things,\u201d<\/em> Bosnic said. Oftentimes, the ICC has served the \u201cpurpose of legitimizing Western \u2026 interventionism,\u201d<\/em> helping the US and allies to label people they do not like as \u201cbad guys.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

According to Bosnic, the ICC should be \u201cdismantled entirely and moved out of the countries of NATO and the EU.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n
